Participate. This adviarter picked a rock from the collection and used the colors of purple and green to design her adviart. The words on the shell are setup to link other words–highlighting the importance of inclusion in participation. This adviarter provided this advice in reference to career. The opening conversation revolved around how in life you sometimes have to do what you don’t want to do in order to get ahead. The mix of stars and writing fit nicely on the rock. The rock was chosen because of its similarity in shape to a heart. The adviarter highlighted my big heart in the grand scheme of things and using this to further my career.
Participating is an interesting concept. I think of the function of time in relationship to participating. I think participating is extremely important but in our society the constraints of participating are dictated often by a rewards system that doesn’t always align with logic nor with a personal rewards system. Time has this crazy way of forcing prioritization of tasks.
Participate in the things that make you who you want to become. Participate in the groups that push you forward–that expand your horizons. Participate in everything that can force you to be the best you can be. Most importantly, know when to not participate–know when to close the chapter.
How do you go about choosing what to participate in on a daily basis? How should you participate and how should it be rewarded? How can passion drive your participation levels?
