Look inside yourself and you will know what is right.
Look inside yourself and you will know what is right. This adviarter picked the first shell she could find in the bag of wonder. She took a green pen because green reminds her of nature–of her childhood, of her passion for rain, fog, and nature, of her heritage…The quote came was a summary from a conversation that took place over a great dinner. The words chosen because consultants use words. The adviarter signed her name on her work and did not use the inside of the shell for writing or drawing. The inside is what counts–it is already beautiful and has the answer.
Looking within to know direction–using your own internal compass–is a great notion that I hope I can fully subscribe to one day. If you think about the way that we often rationalize things–how we can rationalize anything we think about–it is no wonder that we can often not follow what we truly want. I think in any decision that I naturally overanalyze, that I know in my heart what I want to do. I’m not sure how I can set myself up to trust my gut more frequently but it is certainly worth a try.
How do you ensure that you are following your heart? How do you force yourself to look on the inside when faced with a decision?
