KIND + REVEAL LAYERS. WE ARE ALL ONIONS.
KIND + REVEAL LAYERS. WE ARE ALL ONIONS. This adviarter picked the shell because of its shape. In her mind, this shell was like an onion–with many layers. The purple color was picked because it is the adviarter’s favorite color. She happened to not only be wearing purple but the adviarter also graduated from a school where purple was one of the main colors. The wording is written in bold, capital letters across the entire shell. The shell exudes a cyclical nature. The advice starting off as be kind–kind in everything that you do. The onion analogy came as the adviarter tackled the shell. There is only text on the shell–no drawings.
How can we reveal the layers of people that we interact with on a daily basis? Kindness seems like a great way to do this. I remember many mentors telling me to “kill em with kindness” when working/interacting with others–almost as if it was a core facet to those in the hospitality industry. I think there is also a function of time that relates to this advice–to reveal layers, it involves kindness over a period of time. How can we be kind over time?
